How to Play Tongits

The Goal: Be the first player to dump all cards. No cards left? You win. Can't finish? Call a "fight" and settle it with card values. Lowest total takes the pot.

Deal and Starting Hand

Each player gets 12 cards. Dealer gets 13. Dealer kicks things off by tossing one card to the discard pile. Game starts now.

Your Turn: Pick, Form, Toss

Grab a card. Two choices: central pile or the top discard. Build sets—3+ cards of the same rank or a sequence in the same suit. Hearts 5-6-7? Set. Three Kings? Set. Drop a card. Turn ends. Repeat.

Win Conditions and the Fight

Out of cards? Instant win. Stack runs dry? Time for a showdown. Count remaining card values. Lowest number wins. Strategic timing matters. Call a fight when you think your hand is lean enough to crush the competition.
