Gin Rummy
Gin Rummy - Play Online
Classic card game. Two players. One goal: Meld faster than your opponent. Gin Rummy strips away the fluff. Just you, 10 cards, and pure strategy. Draw. Organize. Discard. Knock when ready.
How to Play Gin Rummy
Your mission? Simple. Form sets (three cards, same rank) or runs (sequential cards, same suit). Clear your hand before the other player. Get your unmatched cards—called Deadwood—down to 10 points or less. Then knock. Hit zero Deadwood? That's Gin. Instant win for the round.
Core Card Action
Start with 10 cards. Each turn, draw one. Stock pile or discard pile—your call. Arrange cards into melds. Got a run? Stack it. Got a set? Group it. End your turn by discarding one card. Watch that Deadwood counter drop. Low score = you're close. High score = reorganize fast.
The Knock System
Deadwood at 10 or below? Time to knock. End the round. Force scoring. Opponent's leftover cards count against them. Zero Deadwood? Call Gin. Bonus points. Crushing victory. No unmatched cards means total domination.
Winning Strategy
Memorize the discard pile. Track what your opponent picks. Building a run of Hearts? Don't toss that 6 of Hearts. Go for Gin when possible—knocking early is safe, but Gin is glory. Prioritize low-value cards (Aces, 2s, 3s) in your hand. High cards = high Deadwood risk.
