How to Play Spades
Your mission? Bid on the number of tricks you'll win. Hit your bid exactly. Miss it, and your score suffers. Partners race to 500 points. First team there wins.
The Trick-Taking Loop
Click a card. Play it. Highest card wins the trick. Simple? Not quite. Spades always trump other suits. That 2 of Spades beats an Ace of Hearts. Plan accordingly. Lead smart. Follow suit when required. Save your trump cards for critical moments.
Bidding and Scoring
Before the first card drops, bid your tricks. Nail the bid. Score points. Underbid or overbid? Penalty. Bags accumulate. Too many bags (usually 10)? Points deducted. Check the Rulebook in the main menu for exact scoring breakdowns. Tie game? Bonus round settles it.
Strategy Against AI
Watch opponent patterns. Count cards. Know when Spades are burned. Ace is king. 2 is trash (unless it's a Spade). Communicate with your partner through plays. Lead low cards to bait trump. Force opponents to waste high cards early. The AI is trained—don't underestimate it.
